Congratulations to the winner of the 2024 Susan Miller Piano Competition BRAM FINKELSTEIN
Bram Finkelstein is a sophomore at Dallastown Area High School. He began piano lessons at the age of 6 and is currently studying with Gretchen Dekker. In 7th grade he began taking bassoon lessons with Kim Buchar and now performs with the Dallastown High School Orchestra, Band, and Wind Ensemble. He was a member of the York Youth Symphony and plans to audition for PMEA District Band in the coming year. Bram's favorite composer is Bach; he enjoys learning challenging transcriptions as well as original literature for piano. In his spare time, Bram enjoys playing video games, building Lego, and hanging out with friends.
Bram performed Bach's Concerto in G Minor and Haydn's Sonata in A Major: Finale, Presto to clinch the first prize of $1,000.
